The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) was organized in America in the early 1800’s. We do not claim to be the only Christians. Instead we pray that we are Christians only, in our actions, thoughts, and teachings. Each Sunday we celebrate the Lord’s Supper because that was the practice in the New Testament. We are an open and affirming congregation. We welcome all to First Christian Church, including members of the LGBTQ+ community. Everyone is welcome to full inclusion in all aspects of our congregational life.
